Friends of Mascoma Scholarship
The Friends of Mascoma Foundation scholarship application period is from January 1st through April 15th, 2025. Applications are ONLY accepted through this website on or before April 15!
The guiding principle of FOM’s scholarship program is to support traditional four-year applicants as well as trade school and certificate program applicants.
As well as Friends of Mascoma Foundation scholarships that are open to everyone, there are specific donor-directed scholarships available for STEM, Nursing/Healthcare, Teaching, Business/Economics, Science, and Trade/Certificate programs. You may apply for any that are relevant to you.
A successful applicant will:
Be a student in the Mascoma Valley Regional School District.*
Demonstrate authenticity and sincerity (Mean what you say. Be honest.)
Use clear language and grammar. (Proofread & edit!)
Craft focused and relevant answers. (Read the question and respond appropriately.)
Submit a compelling application. (Show passion or excitement for your next chapter!)
Be service minded or show a love of community. Mention your volunteerism or other relevant activities, including work. (Community can mean the Mascoma Valley, your school, a faith-based community, a sports team, your family, etc.)
Your application will reflect that you’ve considered, identified, and worked towards your long-term educational and/or career goals and that you’ve begun to incorporate them into your educational and/or extracurricular activities either in or outside of school.
Important Information:
Applicants may apply for multiple scholarships on one application. Select the relevant checkboxes under "Scholarship(s) you are applying for."
Recipients are required to attend Mascoma's senior awards night to receive their scholarship.
Scholarships will be paid directly to the institution the recipient is attending.
All letters of recommendation must be attached to the scholarship application.
At this time there is no "save" option within the application. Applicants are encouraged to draft and save their responses in a separate document and then cut and paste that information into the application once ready to apply.
