The Empty Bowls Event brings together the arts, community, and food as a fundraiser to help fight hunger in our community.

Arrange time with your art teacher to make a unique clay bowl in school. That bowl will then be donated to this special event!

Come to Christmas in Canaan on December 13th. The Empty Bowls Event will be held at the CES GYM. Stop by to purchase any of the wonderful handmade bowls! You may also receive some delicious food to go with your bowl!

Not only is receiving a handmade bowl and homemade food special, but all proceeds will go to the Friends of Mascoma Foundation (FOM) to fight hunger throughout the Mascoma community! FOM stocks food at our local food banks, the food shelf at MVRHS, and provides snacks at every Mascoma School!

Volunteers are needed to make CLAY BOWLS and YUMMY FOOD for the event. Please reach out to:

Jason Jarvis (jjarvis@mvrsd.org)  for CES and EVS

Veronica King (vking@mvrsd.org) for Indian River

Christopher Morse (cmorse@mvrsd.org) for MVRHS
